Gentle Tools for Recovering from Trauma

I created this webinar to help you find some relief from symptoms of trauma and PTSD. The information in this webinar is based on my work in mental health, my own experience, and research on nervous system regulation and trauma.

The webinar is just over an hour long and includes the following:

  1. Kindness in recovery

  2. Things that get in the way of recovery

  3. Breathing Techniques

  4. Ways of creating and restoring a sense of safety

  5. And, Emotions and Emotional Safety

Before  you start, it is necessary to note that the Gentle Tools for Recovering from Trauma is not therapy and is not meant to replace therapy, therapy is an invaluable tool for healing.

The information in this webinar is informative and generalized, and intended to provide a variety of tools that people can choose to implement based on what works for them, to attain some relief from symptoms of trauma.

There may be suggestions that don’t work for you, that is ok, you are encouraged to find what does work and implement it as you are able. If you experience any discomfort or stress while practicing any of the tools, please do not continue with that tool, and simply go on to the next one. These tools are meant to help you, not cause further stress.

If strong emotions come up during the webinar that cause intense distress, I encourage you to take breaks and seek further support from a counselor, therapist, or crisis line.
