About Me

I am a compassionate and skilled facilitator and program developer. I have experience working with a diversity of clients, including adults, youth, and families.

I completed a PhD in educational studies focused on community art collectives as spaces for social transformation, inclusion, and community engagement (download a copy of my dissertation here). Previous to that, I completed my Master’s in educational studies on increasing knowledge of colonization and its ongoing impact in the lives of Indigenous Peoples.

I have an Honours Bachelor in Social Work from Lakehead University and have been employed as a social worker in Ontario and Quebec. I started my post secondary education at York University with a double major in Psychology and Anthropology.

Over the years, my focus has become helping people discover their fundamental needs and create a life where they feel fulfilled and well. This includes building self-worth, learning to communicate needs, identifying and understanding self-limiting thoughts and behaviours, building respectful relationships, increasing coping skills, identifying stressors, and creating healthy boundaries.

My Approach

My goal is to create space and provide the tools for people to thrive.

My philosophy is that people are capable of healing themselves when they are provided the opportunity and the knowledge. With a background in mental health and community work, I have witnessed people's capacity for positive change when they increase their self-knowledge, learn healthy coping skills, and are supported to implement healthy and realistic practices.

I provide mental health workshops that focus on building capacity and personal understanding based on the principle of individual capacity for change.

None of us are blank slates, we all have characteristics, skills, and intrinsic value that we carry with us, these serve as the foundation for any work towards healing.

I see myself as a facilitator and educator in people’s journeys to becoming their best version of themselves, here to support and guide you in the work you choose to do towards your goals.
