About Me
I am an educator and mental health provider. I have over a decade working in mental health and addictions, providing support and education to clients and their families. I completed my PhD and Master's in Educational Studies at Lakehead University focusing on more inclusive and diverse learning spaces. I also completed an Honours Bachelor in Social work (Lakehead University), and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology (York University).
My Approach
As an educator and mental health care provider, my approach is compassionate and informed by a commitment to continuous education and professional development.
My philosophy is that people are capable of positive change when they are provided the space, the right supports, the opportunity and the knowledge. With a background in mental health and community work, I have witnessed people's capacity for positive change when they increase their self-knowledge, learn healthy coping skills, and are supported to implement healthy and realistic practices.
I provide mental health education that focus on building capacity and personal understanding based on the principle of individual capacity for change.
I see myself as a facilitator and educator in people’s journeys to becoming their best version of themselves, here to support and guide you in the work you choose to do towards your goals.
